Ministry Leader for:
Outreach Ministry
A native of Danville, Illinois, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, in 2005. Following graduation, Jessica worked at a local television affiliate in Indianapolis until she moved to Fort Worth in January 2010 to attend Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. While at Brite, Jessica served as the Assistant Minister for High School Youth at UCC. Upon receiving her Master of Divinity degree from Brite in May 2013, Jessica was ordained at UCC by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Shortly thereafter, Jessica accepted a call to UCC as a full time Associate Minister, where she currently serves as the outreach minister.
As a young girl, Jessica felt her call to ministry was planted and nurtured at church camp and through various mission trips. She is very passionate about supporting our denomination’s camping system, and has served as a camp counselor, director, and keynoter in Illinois, Indiana, and Texas. Most recently, her love for our global brothers and sisters has taken her to Nicaragua and Chile.
Jessica loves sushi, yoga, and Indianapolis Colts football. She is constantly attempting to learn Spanish (not one of her gifts), and she hopes to travel to South Africa and China in the near future. Jessica strives each day to live fully, love wastefully, and serve with joy.
